We are Sofía Cortinas and Cristian Clavijo, founders of Ramallet Gourmet Company, and we are delighted that you want to get to know us.
Have you ever dreamed of organizing an event where every detail is taken care of, without the stress of coordinating everything yourself? We have too, and that's why we created RGC.
Our story began in 2013, but I'm going to quickly go back to 2018, because Sofi tells you a little about that first venture below, which was short but necessary.
Now, it was 2018, and after years of working in various restaurants and private chef services, both in Uruguay and Spain, we had a clear vision:
To start over and this time offer something different in the world of gastronomy.
We started by providing chef services for families who came on vacation to Punta del Este, covering entire stays hand in hand between Sofía and I (families from Belgium, Greece, Peru, Argentina, Mexico, among others). We soon realized that we could do much more to make life easier for people like you, and as a result, we could generate new business models that allowed us to grow as a company and, above all, as people.
A year later, we expanded our services by adding catering, then mobile bar and lunch services, always thinking about how we could offer you comprehensive solutions. And our most recent addition is a Clubhouse service for gated communities.

A little more of each one
Sofia
Hi, I'm Sofi, co-creator of RGC Gastronomic Solutions.
I started cooking at an early age because I always loved eating and sharing. I started at the bar and quickly moved to the dining room, but I didn't enter a restaurant kitchen until I arrived in New Zealand, where a friend, who was a chef, offered me a job helping him in my spare time. That's where I learned the magic of serving, and after two years, I returned to Uruguay determined to resume my studies.
In 2013, I began a culinary degree at the University of Punta del Este (UG), where I gained knowledge. Along with Cris (my partner, who I mentioned above), we began selling food packages and sandwiches in local businesses. We did so in a very amateur way, but always with the enthusiasm, love, and dedication that characterizes us. And although that venture lasted just over a year, it was the real beginning of everything and the seed that later gave birth to what we do today.
While I was studying for my degree, I visited several restaurants, inns, and hotels in the area, where I learned how the industry works in this region and the local products we have.
With years of study and after graduating as a "Gastronomy Technician" I decided to go to the old continent, to Mallorca (Spain) to be exact, where I spent more than six years coming and going from season to season, working in renowned restaurants and acquiring flavors that I was later able to apply in the private chef format, which to this day is one of the business models we operate.
While all this was happening, on one of my summer trips back to Uruguay and after hosting several events, we decided to start our own company, leaving behind the restaurants in Punta del Este to create our own style of service and food.
This journey began in 2018.
And what a pleasure it was to take the plunge! Because what awaited us up until today has truly been very rewarding.
I currently manage the kitchen, where I'm the chef and have a team that supports me, in addition to being in charge of event service. I love taking care of the aesthetics of the dishes, as well as the space and decorations, and I really enjoy creating experiences for people. This is how I manage to bring their imaginations to life and exceed their expectations. You'll always see me active and smiling, making sure everything runs smoothly with the team and suppliers.

Hello again, my name is Cris, and I'm the one who wrote everything you've read (except for what Sofi just told you). At this point, I don't have much more to say, but I'll quickly share a few personal details that define me as an individual:
I've been restless since I was little, very self-taught, and I like to understand everything that happens and the whys and wherefores of things (although we both know I'll never be able to understand everything, but at least I try every day). That's why I've become addicted to knowledge and an eternal learner. I'm always reading something, taking a course, or learning any kind of thing that, at the end of the day, makes me feel mentally richer and with more tools to apply in life itself, because someone once told me:
“Knowledge takes up no space” (and I’m telling you the truth, I think he was quite right)
This particular personality trait has led me to work in a variety of settings, from an airport where I worked counting and transferring large sums of money, to a kitchen where I cooked more than 100 dishes in a single night.
Today I'm fully immersed in the food industry, and what I love most is creating structures to provide services. I love spending hours on the computer and I'm primarily in charge of marketing and general logistics.
Sofi and I make a great team because we're both gourmets, resourceful, and very creative. She also has a service-oriented approach to people, with a more spontaneous and playful approach. I, on the other hand, have a more organizational and conservative perspective. This creates a good balance between the service we provide and the business models we pursue.
